Another update from Bill Friedrich:

The Peotone Fire Protection District has recently added two new pieces of equipment to their fleet. The first is Engine 10, which was previously assigned to the Normal Fire Department. Now re-lettered for Peotone, this unit has been given a fresh start with some upgrades. It's a 1980 Seagrave pumper equipped with an RPI conversion, a 1,250-GPM pump, 300 gallons of water, and a 50-foot snorkel. This piece of apparatus has seen a lot of action in its time and now continues its service under the Peotone FPD.

In addition, Brush 14 was officially placed into service in 2011. This unit was built using a skid-mounted system that was taken from their old brush truck. It’s a 2011 Ford F-550 pickup equipped with a 125-GPM pump, 250 gallons of water, and a 20-gallon foam tank. The department assembled the rig themselves, showing their commitment to maintaining efficient and well-equipped emergency response vehicles.

These additions reflect the ongoing efforts of the Peotone Fire Protection District to modernize and enhance their capabilities while making smart use of available resources. As always, Bill Friedrich's photos provide a great visual record of these important updates.
