This report comes from Keith Grzadziel. Shortly after noon today, the Bridgeview Fire Department was called to 7340 W. 86th St for an apartment fire. Upon arrival, Battalion 40 found heavy flames on all three floors of the Division A side and requested a Full Still on Box #42. Bridgeview Engine 416 quickly made a hit with their deck gun, significantly reducing the fire. Firefighters then advanced a skid line to the third floor to tackle the fire that had spread into the east unit through the eaves. Due to the fire’s movement through the mansard and roof, crews had extensive overhaul work to complete. Additional companies assisting Bridgeview included Bedford Park, Evergreen Park, North Palos, and Roberts Park, all sending engine companies, along with Oak Lawn providing an ambulance.
