This was a general alarm fire with a special, involving a two-story frame home. Upon arrival, the entire rear of the house was engulfed in flames. The Wheaton engine went to the roof, while Winfield companies worked from the front. It all went just as the training manuals say. I was about a mile and a half away when the first units arrived. I looked in that direction and saw a massive fire plume. By the time I got there, the fire had already been knocked down, and the header was gone.The photos show the damage on the rear, exterior, and interior. Great job by the firefighters!
