**1. Introduction**
Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) machines are manufactured by our factory and are widely used for solid-liquid and liquid-liquid separation processes. The DAF system generates a large number of tiny bubbles through a dissolved gas and release mechanism, which helps in attaching to suspended particles in wastewater. This reduces the density of these particles, allowing them to float to the surface and be removed efficiently. The process is effective in removing substances like suspended solids (SS), chemical oxygen demand (CODcr), and other contaminants, making it a valuable tool in wastewater treatment.
**2. Working Principle**
Air is compressed into an air tank using an air compressor and then introduced into a dissolved air tank via a jet flow device. Under a pressure of 0.35 MPa, the air dissolves into the water, forming dissolved air water. This mixture is then sent to the flotation tank. When the pressure is suddenly released, the dissolved air forms a large number of microbubbles. These microbubbles come into contact with flocculated suspended matter in the wastewater. As the bubbles adhere to the particles, their density decreases, causing them to rise to the surface for removal. This process ensures efficient separation of solids from liquids.

**4. Main Structure**
- **Flotation Machine:** Constructed with steel, this is the core component of the DAF system. It includes a release unit, uniform distribution device, sewage pipes, outlet pipe, sludge tank, and scraper system. The release unit is located at the center and produces microbubbles by mixing dissolved air water with wastewater. The resulting agitation and vortex create microbubbles of 20–50 µm in size, which attach to flocculated particles, allowing them to float and be removed.
- **Dissolved Air System:** Composed of a dissolved air tank, air storage tank, air compressor, and high-pressure pump. The dissolved air tank is critical for ensuring full contact between air and water, improving the dissolution efficiency. It contains baffles and sleeves to increase the speed of air-water interaction.
- **Chemical Dosage Tank:** A steel round tank designed for storing and dissolving liquid chemicals used in the flocculation process.
**5. Scope of Application**
The DAF machine is suitable for various industries, including papermaking wastewater treatment and fiber recovery, printing and dyeing wastewater treatment, electroplating wastewater treatment containing heavy metal ions, oily wastewater treatment, tannery wastewater treatment, chemical wastewater treatment, paint wastewater treatment, food industry wastewater treatment, and the separation of mud and water. It is also effective in treating low-turbidity water and surface water with algae, as well as for solid-liquid separation in many other types of wastewater.
