British supermarket chain Tesco has begun testing a new way of grocery shopping: a virtual grocery store at Gatwick Airport.

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) reported that Tesco has been thinking about a familiar issue: You go with your child on vacation, but what you use for home will still be in your mind. When you come back, there will be Is food in the house? If not, then you have to face the trouble of going to the supermarket after fatigue. Therefore, Tesco decided to install a "virtual grocery store" in the waiting room at Gatwick Airport in London. The virtual store has four interactive screens that display about 80 products, and users can swipe for purchases. If travelers want to buy something, they will need to download a dedicated mobile application and then scan the barcode of each product with their own smartphone. Once the virtual shopping trip is completed, visitors can choose to pay on a certain day. Mandy, a marketing manager, said: We don't think this is a gimmick. It actually indicates the future. In 2016, about 90% of mobile phones will be smart. We do this as a trial, trying to get some customer feedback. We want to make customers' lives more and more as easy as possible, and they also want to shop on the go.

The next two weeks of trials will continue to be conducted in the United Kingdom, and similar technologies have also emerged in South Korea. Tesco has installed interactive billboards at subways and bus stops. The billboard shows a series of groceries, passengers can buy back their home at any time, and have published the QR code below the scanned map after delivery.
