Here's a report from Chi-Town Fire Photos: I responded to a fire at 6454 S. Wolcott this morning. Engine 101 arrived first with a 2.5-inch attack line, and the fire was already in the attic. The structure was completely boarded up, which made forced entry difficult for the crews. They had to knock down the main fire from the exterior before they could go in for mop-up. Both Engine 101 and 116 were stretched out, and Truck 41 positioned their ladder on the roof for ventilation and access. It's always impressive to see how firefighters handle tough situations, especially when structures are compromised. These photos capture the aftermath of the fire and show the dedication of the team. Whether it's a Christmas wreath on an engine or a Pierce truck on the scene, every detail tells a story of service and sacrifice.
