The reporter learned from the Guangdong Yunfu Pyrite Enterprise Group Company on December 9 that after the success of the first boiling furnace of the 400,000-ton sulphuric acid plant of the company on November 25, the current acid production system has been continuously loaded at full capacity. The stable operation of more than 300 hours, product quality meets the requirements, sulfuric acid, iron ore concentrate products began to move to the market. All the devices use domestically-made equipment and processes, and use sulfur concentrates containing more than 48% sulfur as raw materials.
The total estimated investment of the 400,000 tons of sulphuric acid project of Yunsu Group is 267 million yuan. It is a strategic measure for Yunsu Group to rely on the advantage of mine resources, introduce various economic components, and integrate mineralization. The project was jointly funded by Yunsu Group, Guangxi Luzhai Fertilizer Co., Ltd., and Hunan Junze Asset Management Co., Ltd., and was controlled by Yunsu Group with 61%. Its single-series device ranks first in the nation's pyrite-based sulphuric acid plant. The project will annually produce 400,000 tons of industrial sulfuric acid, 200,000 tons of high-grade iron ore concentrate, and 15,000 kW/h of waste heat generator set (the annual power generation will be 88 million kWh). The annual output value will increase by 200 million yuan, and the sales tax will be increased by 16 million yuan, and the profit will be 30 million yuan.
Qi Qiang, chairman of the China Sulfuric Acid Industry Association, said that the construction of the device is in line with the development direction encouraged by the state and industry. The use of high-grade acid in large-scale acid plant can increase iron resources, promote the development of recycling economy, and increase the economic efficiency of enterprises.
It is understood that the large amount of sulfuric acid residue generated after pyrite acid production has not been effectively used for a long time and has become an industry plague. To this end, Jiangxi Copper Group Corporation, Tongling Non-Ferrous Metals (Group) Corporation and Guangdong Yunfu Pyrite Enterprise Group Corporation and other companies have launched explorations of high-grade sulfur concentrates for the production of acid. Yunsu Group was approved by the Development Research Center of the State Council as the only sulfur concentrate export base in China in 1996. It currently has an annual production capacity of 800,000 tons of high-grade sulfur concentrates.
The project uses sulphur ore with a sulphur content higher than 48% as raw material. The iron content of pyrite cinder after roasting is more than 63%. After simple treatment, it becomes iron-making, steel-making quality iron concentrate, or The production of iron oxide red is used as a raw material for producing magnetic materials, pigments, etc., having a high added value and having a good economic benefit. The comprehensive utilization of the pyrite cinders solves the long-standing problems that have afflicted the pyrite-based sulphuric acid production enterprises, and has created a circular economy development model that uses high-grade sulphur concentrates as raw materials and maximizes the comprehensive utilization of pyrite resources.
The project laid the foundation for Yunsu Sulfur's establishment of China's largest pyrite-based sulphuric acid plant, and Yunfu City will also build the largest industrial group for sulfide production in South China.
