Yokohama Tire Corporation recently stated that due to the continuous rise in raw material prices and transportation costs, all Yokohama tire prices will increase by 6% from January 2010.

Shawn Denlein, head of Yokohama's tire sales department, said: “The main raw material for tire production continues to rise continuously. In addition, transportation costs are also rising. The company has adopted a series of internal improvement measures to increase production efficiency, reduce costs, etc. to correspond to the current situation of rising raw materials. , but it has reached the limit of the company's ability to bear. Therefore, we have no choice but to make a price increase decision."

This is the first time Yokohama tire prices have risen for more than a year. Yokohama Tire's latest price increase was on July 1, 2008, in which passenger car tire prices rose by 5% and truck and passenger car tires rose by 10%.
