After more than four months of hard work, Mann Diesel & Turbo finally received an important order for four new models of Chinese companies, China Hong Kong Dredging Company, Jiangsu Haixin Shipping Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. and Huanghua Port Authority. The dredger provides the engine.
Among them, Mann will supply a complete set of propulsion packages for two 6500 m3 suction dredgers from China and Hong Kong Dredging Company, which are expected to be delivered in 2017 and 2018, including 6L32/44CR and 9L32 with the latest, flexible common rail technology. /44CR engine with selective catalytic reduction mode, VBS720-ODF MAN Alpha twin-screw controllable pitch propeller with AHT nozzle, MAN Renk RSLV-720 gearbox, and future modification space in compliance with IMO Tier III regulations . Two propulsion packages are scheduled to be delivered by the end of 2017 or early 2018.
In addition, Mann will supply a propulsion package for a 8,000-cubic-meter suction dredger from Jiangsu Haixin Shipping Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., which is expected to be delivered by the end of this year, including two 9L 32/40 engines and one MAN Alpha double. Screw VBS860 controllable pitch propeller, 1 MAN Renk RSVL-800 reduction gearbox and a set of selective catalytic reduction system.
It is reported that a 10,000 cubic meter suction dredger of the Huanghua Port Authority will be equipped with two 12V32/44CR engines from Mann. Two engines will drive the adjustable pitch propeller and act as a power take-off for the power driven by the mechanical dredging pump. Mann’s partner Yu’an Shipping also participated in the order.
