How Does 5-axis CNC MILLING WORK?
Cnc Machining,Custom Cnc Machining,Cnc Machining Service,Cnc Metal Machining Ningbo Rongna Technology Co.,Ltd , https://www.prototyping-machining.com
We offer advanced 5-axis and 3-axis machining services that significantly increase the range of possibilities for working with complex surfaces and creating parts in numerous shapes and sizes. We provide custom Cnc Milling service and 3-axis, 5-axis CNC milling parts
Milling is the process of cutting and drilling material using a rotating cylindrical tool. This tool is held in a spindle and comes in a variety of sizes and forms. With 5-axis machining, there have two extra rotary axes defined by A, which rotates around the X axis, B, which rotates around the Y axis, and C, which rotates around the Z axis. The combination of additional axes depends on the machine and comes in variations, including AB, AC, or BC.
With 5-axis machining, the table or cutting tool can be tilted, creating the ability to avoid collision with the tool holder and allowing for better access to part geometry. This also ensures improved tool life and cycle time as it helps maintain cutting position and constant chip load. This type of machining offers a push toward single-setup machining, creating shorter lead times and increasing efficiency.
CNC milling is complex machining technique which utilizes several types of pre-programmed CAM and CNC controls to build customized components or parts. We are professional custom CNC milling company and 5 Axis CNC Milling Service provider in China, we offer the manufacturing of precision machined parts and solutions at affordable rates to meet the growing demands of the clients across the world.
We have several machining centers for creating complicated shapes or parts for your products. Contact for more.

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – (BUSINESS WIRE) – Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK), along with CGarchitect, a prominent online magazine and community for visualization and design professionals, recently announced the winners of the 2015 Autodesk Excellence in Infrastructure Competition. This competition highlights some of the world's best applications of Building Information Modeling (BIM) for civil infrastructure projects.
Now in its fourth year, the competition has recognized Arup, Ramboll – Parsons Brinckerhoff Joint Venture, and HNTB as the top three winners for their outstanding work on transit and bridge projects. Additionally, CivilE, LLC was awarded for their small project achievement, and Dawn Digital Pvt. Ltd. was honored for their exceptional visualization efforts.
"Each of these winning projects showcases how forward-thinking BIM workflows and technologies can be applied to complex infrastructure projects," said Amar Hanspal, Senior Vice President at Autodesk. "For instance, Arup, who took first place, created a comprehensive model for a 17-kilometer railway extension in Hong Kong. By integrating data from various sources and formats, they managed to consolidate essential information about stations, tunnels, and surrounding buildings. This approach not only streamlined project management but also facilitated effective communication among all stakeholders."
The competition, managed by CGarchitect and co-sponsored by Autodesk and HP, received 40 submissions spanning a variety of sectors including airports, ports, bridges, railways, roads, urban planning, water resources, and utilities. Judging criteria included complexity, technological innovation, sustainability, and the execution of a BIM process to enhance project confidence and value throughout its lifecycle. The winners will be celebrated at the upcoming Autodesk University 2015 conference in Las Vegas this December.
**First Place: Arup**
Arup secured first place for their contribution to the MTR Shatin to Central Link project, a 17-kilometer railway expansion in Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. The project involved constructing twin railway tunnels, a new underground station with interchange facilities, and ventilation buildings in the bustling Wan Chai area. According to Timothy Suen, an Arup Fellow and Director of Railway in East Asia, "BIM played a crucial role in our design process, especially given the complexity and underground nature of the work. It allowed us to visualize data and make informed decisions, ensuring smoother coordination and better outcomes for this intricate project."
**Second Place: Ramboll – Parsons Brinckerhoff Joint Venture**
The Ramboll – Parsons Brinckerhoff Joint Venture earned second place for their work on the Transport for London (TfL) Hammersmith Flyover, a 622-meter bridge built over 50 years ago. Facing significant strengthening needs, the joint venture used laser scans and detailed models to ensure precise design adjustments. Collaborative workshops leveraging tools like Autodesk ReCap and AutoCAD helped refine the design, addressing challenges related to structural integrity and construction tolerances.
**Third Place: HNTB**
HNTB was awarded third place for their efforts on the Sixth Street Viaduct project in Los Angeles. This bridge not only addresses engineering requirements but also considers urban integration and community involvement. Advanced BIM techniques were utilized to ensure seismic safety and structural stability while aiding in civil and structural coordination.
**Small Projects Award: CivilE, LLC**
CivilE, LLC received recognition for their Walnut Park Apartment development in Austin, Texas. Despite the project's size, they successfully navigated complex terrains and preserved numerous trees. Their use of BIM enhanced interdisciplinary collaboration and accelerated design processes, proving that even small firms can deliver impressive results with the right tools.
**Visualization Award: Dawn Digital Pvt. Ltd.**
Dawn Digital Pvt. Ltd. won the visualization award for their work on Godrej BKC in Mumbai, a Class A office building. Balancing aesthetics with functionality, they produced a captivating fly-through video that effectively communicated the project's evolution. With over 220 employees across India, Vietnam, and Hong Kong, Dawn Digital is a global leader in architectural visualization.
