About two months ago, Delfast first announced the start of a project to design and develop a three-wheeled electric bike called Trike, as part of a grant from USAID’s “Competitive Economy of Ukraine” (KEU) program.

Tonight, the electric bike brand is sharing the technical specs of its upcoming model. According to Delfast's Chief Engineer, Serhiy Honcharov, the Trike features a fully built electric frame with a rear motor of 750W and a 48V 40Ah lithium battery. It also includes Wellgo pedals, a crankset, and lights.

The electric trike is completely waterproof, making it easy to clean and ensuring hassle-free maintenance. The frame has already been tested in CAD software. This is not just a 3D model—it’s a real prototype with materials and manufacturing techniques clearly defined. "We run simulations based on this frame, test different loads, see the overall weight, and install other components using the software," explains Honcharov. The engineering team is currently in the design phase.

Trike can travel up to 120 km or 75 miles on a single charge, making it an ideal transportation solution for small businesses and independent entrepreneurs. That’s exactly who the Delfast team designed it for—helping small businesses and individuals reach remote areas where traditional vehicles struggle.

Additionally, the Trike can carry up to 300 kg or 660 pounds of cargo. Almost anything can be transported with this e-trike. And if you're not heading off-road, it can still reach speeds of up to 40 km/h or 25 mph when needed.
