This morning (January 16, 2019), the Elgin Fire Department responded to a two-alarm fire at a residence located at 329 Park Street. The scene was quite intense as flames quickly engulfed the structure, sending thick plumes of smoke into the sky. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, but the home sustained significant damage.
I managed to capture some footage and photos from the incident that I thought I’d share with you all. The video below gives a good sense of the scale and intensity of the fire. You can clearly see how quickly it spread despite the firefighters' best efforts to contain it.
