On August 24, 2013, around 0615 hours, a fire was reported at the 5300 block of South Shields. Smoke was visible coming from the northbound side of a one-and-a-half story building. The fire had started in the walls and was spreading into the attic. When I arrived, they had already deployed one line, the roof was opened, and the fire was under control and fully extinguished by the time I got there.
Fire companies on scene: 84, 50, 361, 328, 247, 555, 273 – Rescue 3210, 249.
