How to Take Your Temperature

1. Press the ON/OFF button to activate. The unit will beep and display. This LCD test will last around 2 seconds.
2. If you press the ON/OFF button for more than 2 seconds, the last temperature reading will appear with an "M" mark in the corner.
3. After a short moment, 98.2°F (or 37.0°C) will be displayed.
4. When "L" and flashing "°F" or "°C" appears, the thermometer is ready for measuring. However, if the room temperature is above 89.6°F (32.0°C), the room temperature will be shown instead of "L".
5. A beep will sound when the measurement is complete.
6. Press the ON/OFF button to turn off the unit.

Note: The unit will automatically power off after approximately ten minutes of use.

How to Use the Thermometer

1. Oral Temperature: Place the probe under the tongue as close as possible to the heat pocket. Approximate measuring time: 1 minute.
2. Axillary Temperature (Under the Arm): Wipe the underarm with a dry towel and place the probe under the arm so the tip touches the skin. Keep the thermometer perpendicular to the body. Position the arm across the chest to cover the probe. Approximate measuring time: 2-3 minutes. Note: Axillary temperatures are generally 1.0°F / 0.5°C lower than oral readings.
3. Rectal Temperature: Apply a water-soluble lubricant to the probe cover. Gently insert the probe (maximum 1/2 inch) into the rectum. Approximate measuring time: 1 minute. Note: Rectal temperatures are generally 1.0°F / 0.5°C higher than oral readings.

• Do not move, run, or talk while taking your temperature.
• Store the unit in the protective case when not in use.
• Avoid storing in direct sunlight, dust, or humidity. Keep away from extreme temperatures.
• Do not drop or subject the thermometer to strong shocks.
• Do not disassemble the unit except to replace the battery.

Cleaning Instructions

Before and after each use, clean the thermometer with a soft cloth and isopropyl alcohol diluted with water, or wash with cold soapy water. Do not soak for extended periods or sterilize using boiling, gas, or steam autoclaves.
