Beijing, April 23, reporter Wu Weizheng reported: Recently, China's National Nanoscience Center has developed the world's smallest generator - nano-generator. International experts pointed out that this work is a major breakthrough in the field of nanotechnology.
The research was jointly completed by Professor Wang Zhonglin of the Peking University School of Engineering, Overseas Director of the National Nanoscience Center of China, and PhD student Jin Jinhui. The relevant results were published in the international authoritative journal Science published on April 14.
Experts predict that nanogenerators will have broad application prospects in the fields of biomedicine, military, wireless communication and wireless sensing. The invention integrates nanodevices to achieve true nanosystems; it can collect mechanical energy (such as energy produced by human motion, muscle contraction, blood flow, etc.), vibrational energy (such as energy generated by sound waves and ultrasound), fluid energy (such as body fluid flow, blood flow and energy produced by arterial contraction), and convert this energy into electrical energy to provide nano-devices; the energy generated by nano-generators is sufficient for nanodevices or nano-robots to achieve self-sufficiency of energy.
