Recently, a two-way thermal expansion valve for household air conditioners designed and developed by Zhejiang Chunhui Group Co., Ltd. passed the test of the China National Household Inspection Center of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine. The test results show that the product can increase the energy efficiency ratio of household air conditioners by 8.42% and the cooling capacity by 12.1%, filling the domestic gap. According to the current domestic household air conditioners and refrigerators, if each air conditioner and refrigerator is retrofitted with two-way thermal expansion valves, the annual electricity consumption can reach 15 billion kWh, which is equivalent to the total power generation of Gezhouba Hydropower Station for one year.
Xu Lizhong, the chief design engineer of the product and the chief of the technical department of Chunhui Group, said that the two-way thermal expansion valve is designed to automatically adjust the flow rate of the refrigerator and match it. As a throttling element, the liquid can be supplied to the evaporator. All the outlets are evaporated to avoid excessive liquid supply to ensure the full utilization of the heat transfer area of the evaporator. According to statistics, under different working conditions, the combined cooling capacity and seasonal energy efficiency ratio increased by more than 5%. According to the calculation of 100 million air conditioners, the air conditioner using the two-way thermal expansion valve can save 2.5 billion kWh per year.
It is understood that at present, this two-way thermal expansion valve is being commissioned in Guangdong Gree air-conditioning plant and is in the user test stage. Xu Lizhong said that Haier, Midea and Gree have reached an agreement with Chunhui to participate in the trial of the product. If the user test results can increase the seasonal cooling (heat) and seasonal energy efficiency ratio by more than 5%, the three air conditioner manufacturers will batch use. Chunhui expects that the current domestic air-conditioning quantity is estimated to be 10 million units per year. In the past ten years, the demand for two-way thermal expansion valves will reach 50 million units per year.
