In construction, around 70% of rework can be traced back to the gap between what’s designed and what's actually feasible in terms of construction. As a project progresses, making changes becomes increasingly challenging and costly. By prioritizing constructability during the design phase, teams can reduce the likelihood of costly rework down the road. Given that much of a project's value is established early when errors are easier to correct, ensuring accuracy at the outset is more critical than ever—highlighting the importance of consistent communication.
Today, we're introducing several solutions aimed at helping project teams make informed decisions earlier in the process, without requiring technical expertise or specialized software. These new features will offer comprehensive and actionable support to help teams prioritize tasks, evaluate trade-offs, rely on intuition, and verify assumptions, ultimately leading to better-informed choices.
Let’s explore how these new releases will bridge the gap between design and execution.
First, it’s vital for project teams to trust that their documentation is construction-ready, current, and precise. Irrelevant or inaccessible information can cause confusion, disputes, and mistakes. To address this, we’re launching Correspondence, a tool that consolidates all project communication into a single, reliable source. Correspondence gives project leaders open-ended, searchable, and manageable communications stored within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), making it easier to communicate effectively and uncover key decisions. Teams can create and organize correspondence directly from ACC or import threads from Outlook or Gmail. All communication is now easily retrievable, ensuring project quality and minimizing disputes.
“The Correspondence tool is fantastic,†said Chris Rossetto, VDC Manager at Hansen Yuncken. “This has the potential to be a game-changer for us and the industry. Currently, we struggle with managing correspondence and storing project information on outdated platforms that are considered the norm in our sector. I’m excited about what’s ahead—this might bring us closer to operating a single-platform Common Data Environment (CDE).â€
Next, since design models can overwhelm field teams, we’re introducing Model Quality Workflows, a suite of updates that supports converting design models into construction-ready ones. This month’s release lets anyone on the project team—from the BIM manager to the project engineer—curate custom views tailored for onsite teams. By offering teams access to well-defined models early and frequently, field teams can enhance their installation efficiency.

We’re also rolling out the Sheets Collection, which helps teams better organize sheets and swiftly access relevant drawings. For those overseeing multi-building projects, this feature simplifies document management by storing and managing drawings with identical names in one place. It eliminates the tedious process of creating and owning multiple projects or prefixing sheet names. Sheets are accessible to both office and field teams for large-scale multi-building projects.
Additionally, in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry, time is often wasted toggling between various applications to perform specific tasks. Many firms compartmentalize information in isolated systems, inadvertently causing delays and affecting decision-making. With ACC, we aim to assist our clients in maintaining workflows within a single application and shared system of record.
That’s why we’ll soon introduce Bridge for Closed RFIs, enabling users to share closed Requests for Information (RFIs) across projects or accounts via Bridge. This ensures all stakeholders have the necessary answers to make confident decisions. This capability broadens the range of information that can be shared across organizations and allows teams to preserve critical data throughout the project lifecycle and beyond.
Another example of our commitment to equipping construction professionals with the tools they need to make smarter decisions is the summer release of the Embodied Carbon in Construction Calculator (EC3) integration for ACC. The EC3 integration allows users to stay within their system of record to calculate carbon emissions and empowers teams to select more sustainable materials for their projects.
Reducing technology management across the board enhances both productivity and the ability to make quick, informed decisions with the right information at hand.

Finally, manual systems and the disconnect between 2D and 3D workflows often result in poor decision-making, impacting schedules and budgets. With today’s releases, a significant focus is increasing project transparency and filtering out unnecessary information to provide construction teams with only the most pertinent details they need for their tasks. Expanding individual capacity by delivering simplified and relevant information at every stage of the project boosts overall productivity.
With ACC’s latest announcements, we aim to empower more informed decision-making by bringing accurate and up-to-date project data directly to construction teams when and where they need it. This enables our customers to consistently deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
