For those who love ambulances, Medtec had quite a busy year in 2010 delivering multiple area units. One of these was highlighted in a previous post and captured in a photo by Karl Klotz. This particular ambulance made its way to the Troy Fire Protection District, and you can check out the image right here. Additionally, Medtec also supplied units to other locations such as LaGrange Park, Elmwood Park, and even a couple of them ended up in South Holland. In the coming days, I’ll be putting together another post that focuses on the approximately twelve 2009 deliveries. Many of these have already been photographed and shared on this very platform. I recently came across some fantastic images from the delivery phase of these Medtec units, prior to their final branding and graphics. For instance, take a look at the Medtec ambulance destined for LaGrange Park. The crisp, clean lines and the subtle hints of the soon-to-be-applied livery make this vehicle stand out. It’s worth noting that the color scheme for the Elmwood Park unit is particularly unique to the region, as shown in the high-quality photograph provided by the Elmwood Park department itself. And let's not forget the Troy FPD ambulance, whose pre-graphics photo showcases the classic Medtec design that many enthusiasts have come to admire. These photos truly capture the essence of these vehicles before they hit the road fully equipped and branded. It’s always exciting to see how these emergency response vehicles transition from sleek factory models into fully operational lifesaving machines. Stay tuned for more updates as we delve deeper into the world of Medtec and their contributions to emergency services across the region!
