The hydrogenation catalyst development project for the conversion of dimethyl maleate into 1,4-butanediol and tetrahydrofuran, carried out by Fudan University, has recently received positive recognition from the Ministry of Education. An expert appraisal committee, led by Academician Yuan Yukang, reviewed the project and praised the developed catalyst for its straightforward synthesis process, high selectivity, and excellent stability. The committee highlighted that the catalyst significantly simplifies the hydrogenation process and holds great potential for industrial application. They recommended that both Fudan University and the Shanghai Coking Company continue their collaboration to accelerate the commercialization of this breakthrough. The project was a joint effort between Fudan University’s Institute of Surface Chemistry and the Shanghai Coking Company. To ensure the feasibility of industrial application, the research team conducted extensive studies on the catalyst's preparation and performance. They completed a 300-hour and a 1000-hour laboratory test, followed by a 1000-hour pilot test in a 150-millimeter reactor at the Shanghai Coking Company. Finally, a 3000-hour side-line life test was performed using imported equipment, confirming that the catalyst’s selectivity and durability are comparable to those of international standards. Notably, the catalyst can be synthesized not only in the lab using high-purity reagents but also in small-scale production using industrial-grade materials, which lays a solid foundation for future large-scale manufacturing. This achievement marks a significant step forward in catalytic technology, offering a more efficient and sustainable solution for the chemical industry.

10,764 ft2 Class 10,000 clean room and 32292 ft2 Class 100,000 clean room, all-electric high-speed injection molding machines imported from Japan, raw material which meet USP Class VI requirements. Production and quality control are performed strictly in accordance with corresponding SOP.

• Sterilization by electronic beam irradiation.

The Rhodotron TT200 electron accelerator which imported from the IBA company, Belgium. A world leader in the E-Beam sterilization industry. Sterilization process has been certified by the ISO 11137 quality system. Compared with sterilization by cobalt 60 or ethylene oxide sterilization, sterilization by electronic beam irradiation is more efficient and safer. It requires less time and will not produce any chemical residue.
