Japanese forging machinery orders increased last month According to the statistics of the Japan Forging Machinery Industry Association (Japan Forging), in June Japan's forging machinery manufacturers' orders increased by 1.4% year-on-year, totaling 26.865 billion yen, and export orders 13.931 billion yen, a year-on-year increase of 17.3%.

In terms of product categories, the stamping category was 17.154 billion yen, up 12.1% year-on-year; the sheet metal category was 5.18 billion yen, down 13.9% year-on-year. Among them, small-sized stamping machines surged 64.1% year-on-year. In the sheet metal products, punches decreased by 22.8% year-on-year, press brakes decreased by 19.4% year-on-year, and lasers and plasmas increased by 3.3% year-on-year.

Geographically, orders from Japan were 8.403 billion yen, a decrease of 11.0% year-on-year, and negative growth for six consecutive months. On the export side, orders from China increased by 75.7% year-on-year, and orders from Europe increased by 63.1% year-on-year, both significantly increasing. Orders from North America increased slightly by 1.4% and Southeast Asia grew by 17.1%.
