Now, that dream is becoming a reality. A breakthrough was achieved through a collaboration between Taixing Golden Dragon Company and the Guangzhou Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. This partnership led to the development of a new type of biodegradable foam plastic, effectively addressing the global issue of "white pollution." When exposed to sunlight for an extended period, the surface of the biodegradable foam begins to change, becoming uneven. This is a clear sign of degradation. The foam is made primarily from carbon dioxide, turning a harmful greenhouse gas into a valuable resource. As Dr. Liu Baohua from the Guangzhou Institute of Chemistry explained, "This polyurethane foam can be completely biodegradable. Using carbon dioxide in this way not only reduces waste but also helps solve the global problem of 'white pollution.'" In addition, Taixing Zhongke Jinlong has developed an advanced carbon dioxide copolymerization catalyst separation system, which has positioned the company as a global leader in the production and application of this innovative technology. This development marks a significant step forward in sustainable materials science, offering a promising solution to one of the most persistent environmental challenges.
