An exhaust
system is usually piping used to guide reaction exhaust gases away
from a controlled combustion inside an engine.
The Whole Exhaust System conveys burnt gases from the engine and includes one
or more exhaust pipes. Depending on the overall system design, the exhaust
gas may flow through one or more of:
· Exhaust head and exhaust manifold
· A turbo to
increase engine power.
· A three
way Catalytic Converter to reduce air pollution.
· A muffler / silencer
to reduce noise.

On the afternoon of May 5th, 2016, the launching ceremony of the jack-up drilling platform No. 2 (N611) built by Dalian COSCO Shipyard for NORTHERN OFFSHORE was held. The shipyard and shipowners project team witnessed this moment.

     It is reported that the platform has a total length of 74.09 meters, a width of 62.08 meters, a depth of 7.92 meters, a leg length of 145.3 meters, a design working depth of 350 feet, and a drilling depth of 30,000 feet. The platform has a capacity of 120 people and is equipped with 5 generator sets and 1 emergency. The generator set, classified by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), is the fifth platform of the same type under construction by Dalian COSCO Shipyard.
